About the event

Text below from The Oregon Climate Action Commission.

The Oregon Climate Action Commission will meet on December 12, 2025. The public meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. online.

At this meeting the Commission will receive final reports and discuss findings from the Land-based Net Carbon Inventory and the Natural Climate Solutions Workforce Development and Training Programs Needs Study. The Commission will also hear from the Oregon Department of Transportation about the state’s climate-supportive transportation programs and progress on reducing greenhouse gas emissions from transportation sources.

The agenda and meeting information, including how to listen in, is available on the Commission’s website.

As always, written comments may be emailed to the Commission. Input received by 5 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2025, will be shared with Commissioners in advance of the meeting. Members of the public will also have an opportunity during the meeting to make oral comments and can sign up in advance here.

If you need special accommodations to participate in the meeting, please contact Geoff Crook at 503-551-2235 or Geoff.Crook@energy.oregon.gov. The meeting will be recorded and posted for those who are not able to attend.

The Oregon Climate Action Commission is a 35-member advisory group, originally created as the Oregon Global Warming Commission by the 2007 Legislature through House Bill 3543. In 2023, the Oregon Legislature modernized and renamed the Commission in HB 3409. Members are appointed and directed to develop long-term policy recommendations to prepare for, adapt to, and combat climate change. Public comments can be submitted to the commission at OCAC@energy.oregon.gov.
