About the event
Help needed to plant hundreds of native trees and shrubs at Gateway Green at this rare Friday event! This event was originally scheduled for Sat, Feb 21st and canceled due to strong wind gusts onsite — please help make it possible to give these plants a new home at this this unique mountain-biking and walking oasis situated in between I-84 and I-205.
This park is only accessible via the I-205 Multi-Use Path. There is an approximately 15 minute walk from the former Kohl’s parking lot down the multi-use path to our planting site, look for our signs. Volunteers are encouraged to bike to the planting or take public transportation to the transit center and walk from there.
Please arrive by 9:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. The planting starts at 10:00am. We provide gloves, tools, and planting guidance, as well as breakfast snacks and coffee/tea/hot chocolate — all you need to do is show up dressed for the weather wearing sturdy shoes or boots, and be ready to have fun!
How do I register? Register by filling out this quick form. Groups, families, and individuals welcome!
