Third Act Oregon (TAO) brings together the political and economic power of Oregonians over age 60 to move local communities in the direction of a more sustainable society and planet. Our demographic is large, we have a wealth of life experience, we have huge economic power, and we VOTE. When we put our voices together, we are powerful. Saving Our Planet We can’t afford to keep endangering our planet by burning fossil fuels. Third Act Oregon advocates for the rapid transition from fossil fuels to clean renewable energy. No Oregonian can forget the devastating wildfires in 2020 that burned over 1 million acres, cost an estimated $609 million, destroyed over 4000 homes, and blanketed our state in toxic smoke. This is not the legacy we want to leave to future generations. The time to act is now. Banking on the Future Third Act’s current campaign is putting pressure on the four largest banks—Citibank, Wells Fargo, Chase, and Bank of America—to stop funding the energy infrastructure of the past and to start funding the energy infrastructure of the future.
