Are you looking for a community of educators to discuss climate solutions and design student actions?
This 5-part virtual book study will engage HS science educators with a new resource: Teaching Climate Change by Mark Windschitl.
Book Study details:
- We will meet the second Tuesday of each month, from 4-5 pm (January-May) on Zoom
- Focus audience is Oregon high school science teachers. We are especially hoping to include teachers in NGSS content areas (physics, chemistry, biology, earth science, space science, engineering)
- Participants will earn up to 5 PDUs, with an option to apply for summer institute PDUs (see below)
- At our March meeting, we will host book author Mark Windschitl (co-author of Ambitious Science Teaching)
Summer institute eligibility: Participants in this book will be eligible to apply for a 3-day, all-expenses paid climate institute in Oregon. The summer climate institute is supported by a Knowles Teacher Initiative grant.
