This Earth Day, rise with local environmental organizations for climate justice! Trump and Musk are violently enforcing the interests of big business over people and planet – eroding environmental protections, discarding dedicated public workers and social services, stoking hatred against our communities, and criminalizing rights defenders. In Portland we see more heat-related deaths and devastating wildfires while private companies like PGE and Zenith get the green light to cut through Forest Park and put our river and neighborhood at risk of environmental catastrophe. Meanwhile our tax dollars are used to murder environmental activists and terrorize indigenous communities in places like the Philippines in order to protect the investments of US multinationals like Tesla. It has never been more urgent to come together to fight across borders for real solutions to the climate crisis. Not the greenwashed “solutions” advertised by corrupt officials and corporations plundering the Global South – TRUE solutions that put people and planet over profit.
