The Environmental Education department at Portland Parks & Recreation is currently hiring for multiple summer positions, and we would love your help in spreading the word.
We have two summer programs that offer meaningful work experiences in environmental education and conservation:
- Youth Conservation Crew – Crew Leader: This role leads groups of teen employees in hands-on environmental stewardship projects across Portland’s parks and natural areas. This role pays $22.00- $24.00 an hour. The application is open now and closes February 23rd; it can be found with this link.
- Youth Conservation Crew – Crew Member: We are looking for responsible teens who enjoy working outside and are excited to work with a diverse team. Join a crew focusing on trails, trees, community gardens, or natural areas. This role pays $18 an hour. The application opens on February 16th and closes March 22nd; it can be found with this link.
- Nature Day Camp – Educators and Support Staff: We are hiring for a variety of positions, including Site Leads, Activity Leads, and Educators, all focused on creating engaging outdoor experiences for children.
