Workforce
AYA strives to provide multiple forms of assistance and support to build up our community and help tackle issues arising around generational poverty and other related impacts to our region. We offer our Workforce services in Coos and Curry Counties.
PROGRAMS
Paid work experience
This program is a paid work-based learning opportunity for participants to gain experience and to learn valuable soft skills. Since AYA pays participants, businesses can try out candidates to see if they are a good fit for the company.
On the job training
This service allows participants to be hired directly by an employer with a training contract to allow someone needing more experience or training to receive it.
Career Exploration & Planning
Career assessments, one-on-one career counseling, goal setting and individualized service plans, exploration of career pathways and local labor market trends
Job Readiness Training
Resume & cover letter development, mock interviews, workplace expectations, and soft skills training
Educational Training Support
College enrollment assistance, financial aid guidance, and occupational skills training and certifications.
Supportive Services
Transportation assistance (bus passes, gas cards), work clothing or tools, childcare, case management and ongoing support- plus more.
