The Oregon Climate Action Hub has been built and sustained by an all-volunteer team.
How we work
We have three working teams: Administrative, Technical, and Communications. We also have an Advisory Board (let us know if you’d like to nominate someone for that).
Open Roles
Admin Team Convener
The Admin Team Convener is a systems thinker who can help coordinate and amplify the work of ORCAH and our partners. They are excited about the ORCAH mission, have an excellent understanding of how the Climate Hub functions, and work to provide administrative management and support to ORCAH and its partners.
Communications Team Convener
The Comms Team Convener is a systems thinker who can help strategically create content that amplifies the work of ORCAH and our partners. They are excited about the ORCAH mission, have an excellent understanding of how the Climate Hub functions, and work to communicate the story with all partners.
Regional Coordinator
Regional Coordinators are excited about the ORCAH mission, have an excellent understanding of how the Climate Hub functions, work to invite new users and connect with existing ones, and play a key role in ensuring regionally relevant partnerships and content management. They act as an ambassador for the Climate Hub, serving outreach functions through existing networks and creating new relationships. They also encourage community members to onboard and utilize the Climate Hub, and create content to ensure a robust experience for users in their region. Note: Regions may include Central Oregon, Eastern Oregon, Mt. Hood & Columbia River Gorge, Portland Metro Area, Southern Oregon, The Coast, Willamette Valley; precise geographies will depend on the existing connections and locales of coordinators.
Onboarding Assistant
The Onboarding support role is a key role for our launch phase, especially as we work to engage and onboard a large number of new organizational partners. This person is excited about the ORCAH mission and has an excellent understanding of how the Climate Hub functions; their primary goal is to onboard new users.
Resource Post Steward
The Resource Post Steward is a very small but mighty role! This person is excited about the ORCAH mission and has an excellent understanding of how the Climate Hub functions; their primary goal is to create and maintain a resource post (or multiple, depending on area(s) of expertise) on a specific topic. The Climate Action Hub is focused on showcasing action opportunities, but also has a goal of curating the most relevant background information on solution areas within the state.
If you are interested in any of these roles or would like to discuss a different way of contributing please get in touch through our form.
