The Coastal Resilience Toolkit: What are Pacific Northwest Tribes, cities, counties doing to make our communities stronger?

An Oregon State University SeaGrant team analyzed coastal action plans for Oregon, Washington, and Northern California from 2024 to 2025. The goal was to understand where and how these plans are being used to respond to environmental challenges and develop resources that can be used to accelerate local action. The resulting toolkit and supporting materials offer a practical starting point for anyone pursuing mitigation and adaptation strategies. They also provide inspiration and ideas for those already working on strategies.

You can access the Toolkit at the following link (give it a long moment to load): https://ir.library.oregonstate.edu/concern/datasets/9593v434z

The Oregon Chapter of Elders Climate Action is publicizing the toolkit in case it can benefit other communities. Here’s what you can do:

  1. Review the Toolkit with an eye to how it can benefit your community
  2. Advocate for it in your community
